Well, what happens in Hollywood, Bollywood is sure to follow close on its heels. The Fever of Sequels has gripped the filmy people. It was bound to happen, folks! well, there was Krrish after Koi Mil Gaya and there was Phir Hera Pheri after Hera Pheri - Suddenly a host of filmakers have woken up to join this bandwagon. Pritish Nandy communications is said to be toying with the idea of remaking three sequels - their hit Jhankar Beats as Jhankar Beats Again, an animation film will be the sequel to Ek Haseena, Ek Khiladi, and a sequel to Pyar ke Side effects titled Shaadi ke Side Effects.

The others also contemplating sequels are Rakesh Roshan, sequel to Krrish and Ram Gopal Verma planning a sequel for Sarkar and Vinod Chopra is almost ready with his next Munnabhai film. Guess the saga will continue for some time! So, folks be ready for many more sequels.........!!!

Kunal going Hrithik way!

The sexy and suave Kunal Kapoor seems to have a musical bent; he's been learning to play the flute for sometime now. If making women sing to his tunes wasn't enough, the lad has a new plan now. he will simply make the gals dance to his beats. Yes! Kunal's taken the challenge to be one of the best foot tappers in Bollywood, like his buddy Hrithik Roshan.
Apparently, he's taking dance lessons everyday and diligently practises for hours trying to perfect his steps at home everyday! So, is he going to give Hrithik some serious competition? But, if Kunal wants to be better than him, its going to be no mean task. Our Dhoom boy is not that easy to beat and would be one helluva competition. isn't it?

A Book on Sanjay Dutt

Sanjay Gupta, filmmaker, is paying his friend Sanjay Dutt the ultimate tribute. He’s commissioned a 3-volume biography on the superstar to be written by journalist-author Neelesh Mishra.
Explaining about the book, Sanjay Gupta told the reporters that he didn’t think that Sanju’s life could be encapsulated in one book. His life was not only exceptionally eventful, but also very inspiring. Therefore they had decided to divide Sanju’s story into three volumes. The first Volume would take you into his story until he went into rehabilitation for drug cure. The second volume would go through his marriage with Richa Sharma., the divorce, and her tragic death.
In the final volume you will get to read about his court procedures, his probation, and other details.
To help in writing the book, Sanjay Dutt would be personally sitting with the writer over several sessions sharing his darkest fears and thoughts. According to Gupta, this would be a “no-holds-barred” story. “Sanjay Dutt’s life”, according to Neelesh Mishra, who is a lyricist, “is an amazing story. It mirrors the sunshine and the darkness of Bollywood itself. I see it as a very challenging international project, far more difficult than the three books I’ve written so far. Hope I do justice to it.”

Rajnikant- New Superstar of Kollwood/Tollwood?

Well, looks like our bollywood superstar Big B is in to face tough competition for the "superstardom" status! What with first ShahRukh Khan close on his heels for the much coveted status, now its the turn of Kollywood or Tollwood (whatever its called) superstar Rajnikant, who has been having a huge fan following down south is all set to give stiff competition to the Bachchans!
Rajnikant is known as the king of punch. His latest Movie "Sivaji" is proving to be a big blockbuster with his fans going berserk in order to watch the film! Not only in India but abroad as well!
This week at the box office, it is a clash of the titans, literally, as the Big B's 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom' and superstar Rajnikant's 100th film 'Sivaji' are set to release simultaneously.
He has been getting similar response abroad too. Fans poured milk on Rajnikanth’s cut-outs, offered prayers and pledged their lives as the much anticipated movie ‘Sivaji- The Boss’ opened to more-than-full houses in more than two thousand theatres across the country and abroad on Friday.
Not only that, Bollywood star prices seem a laugh as you travel down South where, without fuss and headlines, Tamil star Rajnikanth has become India's highest paid actor.
He is paid more than the Khans or even the Big B. With each new film Rajnikanth breaks his own record as India's highest paid acter. One of the reasons for Rajni's skyrocketing rates is that he is Tamil cinema's lone superstar after MGR, while four to five big heroes rule Bollywood. Realities that even his co-actors accept.

Bipasha Basu-John Abraham split up?

There are rumours floating around the net and the papers about Bipasha and John having decided to call it quits. It seems that the couple called it off just before Bipasha left for an awards function in Yorkshire and John went to Hyderabad for shooting "Aashayen". Close friends say that they have been quarrelling for a while now and have not spent a single day with each other since coming back from shooting for "Goal".
The story goes that after the director of "Goal" had signed him he asked John to recommend a few actresses. while Priyanka topped John's list Bipasha's name did not even figure in the list.
It seems the reason for them not going official with the split may be their committment for appearing together for endorsing a particular brand!

Photos of Bipasha Basu, Sexy and Beautiful as usual!

Aishwarya Rai - The most beautiful woman in the world

See these images, photos of Aishwarya Rai.She is the reigning queen of bollywood. an actress,a successful international model and now married to the "Junior" Big B. She is the only indian actress to have been interviewed by Oprah Winfrey.

Aishwarya Rai was born in the south indian state of Karnataka in Manglore on 1st Nov 1973. She was younger of the two siblings, her brother being 3 yrs elder. When she was about 4 years old her family moved to Bombay permanatly. Her father worked as a merchant navy officer. Aishwarya did her schooling at Arya Vidya Mandir, Santacruz. Academically, she did very well and earned her position as the head girl of her school. Ash chose the science stream while at DG Ruparel College, her favorite subject being Zoology. Aishwarya wanted to do medicine, but circumstances didn't let her. Instead she chose Architecture and passed the interview at Raheja College with flying colors. By this time, Aishwarya had started getting modelling assignments. She then decided to take a break from architecture and concentrate on modelling. From that point there was no looking back. Hema Malini: Dream Girl of Bollywood

Hema Malini is another one of my all-time favorite actresses of Bollywod. She is remembered by one and all as the “Dream Girl” of Bollywood due to her unforgettable role in the movie ‘Dream girl’ paired opposite the actor Dharmendra. I was in love with them both and loved to watch them on screen together. They were probably one of the most romantic couples on screen in those days. And their romantic interest in each other in real life aided in their movies being box office hits.

Hema Malini has done a lot of work in Hindi cinema. She can proudly boast of playing the romantic lead role as a heroine in more than 1000 films. The only other actress known to match this is Rekha. She was born in Madras on October 16, 1948. She trained as a Bharat Natyam dancer and made her debut in Raj kapoor”s film “Sapnon ka Saudagar” in 1968. She was the second South Indian film star next to Vyjayantimala to be a major hindi film star.
Ironically, her career had almost ended before it could even begin. She was thrown out of a Tamil film in 1964, for the reason that she had no “star appeal”! Hema then resolved to make it big in the place where it mattered more - Bollywood.

And what a performance it has been! She has acted in a variety of roles and made quite an impact in the industry. There would be a huge void that would be irreplaceable after her exit. She has made her mark not only in her acting career but also as a proficient and professional classical dancer. She is truly a woman of substance today and I look upto her as a good role model for women today. Her beauty and grace has charmed the hearts of many a men and continue to do so even today!
She has been paired opposite the then top heroes of the industry, Dev Anand, Rajesh Khanna, Jeetender, Dharmendra, Raaj Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan etc…
Her roles to be remembered are: As Raaj Kumar’s Scheming mistress in Lal Pathar (1971). She not only made the audience empathize with her negative role but also stole a march over Rakhee, a great actress of that time. She dared to play the role of a young widow in Andaaz (1971), a role that was turned down by most actresses. She tried to change her glamorous image by working with Gulzar and did some of her best and perhaps most introspective work in films like – Khushboo (1975), Kinara (1977) and Meera (1979).

She has shown daring roles not only in cinema but also in her real life by having an affair and marrying Dharmendra who was already married at that time. She took up the role of the second wife and has shown great courage and determination by sticking to her ideals and living life on her own terms.
She has a lot more than just films and her dance career to her credit. She is also a successful magazine editor (New Woman). She has also joined politics and is an active member of the Rajya Sabha. She has contributed a lot, in her own ways, towards the cultural development of this country. And we are proud of her! Unfortunately, there aren’t that many roles for women of her age in the hindi cinema and therefore we are deprived of this great actress’s beauty and grace and talent, that would have been a treat for sore eyes. She made a come back with Baghbaan (2003) and it was an instant hit.

I am sure that people would love to see more of her films.
Some of her most memorable films are:

Johnny Mera Naam (1970)
Andaaz (1971)
Lal Pathar (1971)
Seeta aur Geeta (1972)
Khushboo (1975)
Sholay (1975)
Kinara (1977)
Meera (1979)
Naseeb (1981)
Razia Sultan (1983)
Rihaee (1988)
Baghban (2003)

Shah Rukh Khan and the “Legion of Honor”!

Well it seems our erstwhile Shah Rukh Khan, the Bollywood superstar, follows where Big B goes. What with stepping into Amitabh Bachchan’s shoes as the KBC host and then joined his wax figurine at Madam Tussaud’s and now he has joined yet another prestigious club.
The actor has been chosen for the “Orde Des Arts et des Lettres” award of the French government for his exceptional career. Shah Rukh‘s name was recommended to the President of France by French ambassador in New Delhi Dominique Girard and it was quickly accepted!
The other international recipients of this award include celebrities like Leonardo diCaprio, Bruce Willis, Sharon Stone, Uma Thurman, Meryl Streep and Robert Redford. A few months back, Amitabh Bachchan had received the “Legion of Honor”. The connection between the two (or is it competition) may never end!
Well Done, Shah Rukh!
